United Kingdom Coalhouse Fort, United Kingdom
Built in the 1860s to guard the River Thames from raiders and invaders, it is now being restored and maintained, and is a great countryside visiting spot with some interesting photo opportunities.
Photography Tips
The fort itself isn't the only subject to potentially photograph - if you follow the path further towards the Thames, you will find some really great photo spots around too. There are small abandoned buildings around, and even a rocky shoreline area with some fascinating rock formations.
Travel Information
Parking is available right outside the fort, also close to a bus stop.
