United Kingdom Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye, Scotland
World-famous spot with lots of visitors but if you are ready to get your feet wet and bring a tripod you can take great photos with long exposures even on a busy day. Fairy Pools - waterfall with handsome mountain in the background .
Photography Tips
Bring moskito headnet and handnets. The midgies (tiny protein-hungry bastards that swarm the place in myriads) turned me into Pizza-Face on this shoot while I was envying other travellers who were wearing head nets. I bought one in Portree later on that trip. Go there 6-8pm - the sun will be behind you and will throw golden light onto the mountain .
