United Kingdom Warwick Castle viewpoint
Warwick Castle is a medieval castle originally built by William the Conqueror during 1068. Warwick is the county town of Warwickshire, England, situated on a bend of the River Avon. This is almost the only location that you can get a decent shot of Warwick Castle without paying to get in. The river Avon leads you up to the castle walls.
Photography Tips
There are limited angles to get a shot as you can only shoot from over the bridge.A tripod is difficult to use if you have long exposures in mind as you'll block the pavement. I always bring a beanbag. The rowing club sometimes start/finish rowing just in front of the castle which adds some foreground interest otherwise you might get swans on the river. At the right time of year you can get sunset behind the castle and in Autumn you can get early light hitting the castle walls.
