United Kingdom The Hermitage, Dunkeld, Perthshire
Have a chance at photographing the falls of Braan, while walking in the historic Tay Forest Park. Visit Ossion's Hall for a view across the falls and enjoy the smell of a beautiful autumn woodland there.
Photography Tips
It's almost impossible to shoot handheld here. It's almost always cloudy and the forest canopy shields the forest from sunlight most of the time. Bring a tripod and a prime (fixed focal length) lens here. Autumn is particularly beautiful, since there are a range of warm tones to be found throughout the forest.
Travel Information
The rocks are slippery, so put proper boots on. Parking is, as with many of the Scottish natural sites, not a problem. Follow the A9 north from Perth along the river Tay and take the exit, following sings for the Hermitage.
