United Kingdom Paxton's Tower, Carmarthenshire
This is a relatively undiscovered location in Wales - the large castles get all the attention.
Photography Tips
Walk up to the tower and enjoy the views over the Tywi Valley. Low sun hits the side of the building as shown in my photo, giving it and the field a great glow.
Travel Information
Parking is right next door in an adjacent field. Beware that the field to walk through to get TO the tower is used for farming and there are often cows (and the bull!) in the field. Use common sense. On this occasion, the bull was there and giving me a bit of a look, so I stayed by the gate and shot with my telephoto. Floodlights now exist at this location.
