United Kingdom The Balmoral on Princes Street, Edinburgh
This is a not so typical shot from Calton Hill. There's a quiet area near the Nelson Monument that allows you to get some peace from all the tourists. At the same time you get a nice view exactly down Prince Street.
You will see The Balmoral Hotel on the left, the Royal British Hotel on the right and in the far end Charlotte's Chappel and St. Mary's Cathedral.

Photography Tips
No need to use a tripod. You can clamp your camera to a very stable fence. A ball head on a super clamp is so much better than a tripod for this spot as you don't have any issues with tripod legs getting in the way. It's a cramped spot and the fence is sturdy so use it :)
To compress the long Princes Street you will need to use a long lens. From that viewpoint and with a long lens you will get a compressed shot of the cityscape reaching. The front to back of my photo is roughly 1.5 miles.
