United Kingdom Mid Loch Assynt Layby and Islands
These are small islands in the loch with Scots Pines. You do have to scramble across rough ground to get there but if the weather's good with still water to allow reflections then it's worthwhile.
Photography Tips
It's a little tricky to find a spot. Lots of boggy areas and a stream to cross. Use the appropriate lens to compose the shot you want. Moving ten feet right or left can give you a different shot.
Travel Information
Use the A837 towards Lochinver it goes along Assynt. You will see the islands on your left and there is a layby to park. It can be busy in the summer months.
