Made of hard sandstone grit it rises 355m above sea level. At its highest point stands a mock tower that was built as a summer house in 1754 by Randle Wilbraham.
The tower is visible for miles around with views far reaching over both Cheshire and Staffordshire.
Free parking and I believe it is a National Trust site.
