United Kingdom Rockford Common
Rockford Common is a large, flat open area of heathland with grazing New Forest ponies where you can make typically epic New Forest images. To the north of the common is a valley with higher ground beyond so this is the best direction for a panoramic image.
Photography Tips
Late summer when heather is in bloom is a great time to shoot this location, but if sky conditions are good you can make interesting images year round, every season brings different colours.
Travel Information
Easy to get to, quite a large car park at the west end of the common but very busy in the summer. Smaller but less busy car park at the east end (Appleslade)
