United Kingdom Heddon's Mouth
Heddon's Mouth is a rocky beach at the end of the Heddon Valley in Exmoor. You can shoot wide shots from an elevated position above the beach or head down onto the beach itself to shoot the shoreline with the fantastic rocks as foreground elements. Lots of different types of images can be made in a small area!
Photography Tips
The beach faces NW with hills either side so you won't get direct light onto the beach at sunset, it's better at sunrise or through the morning as the sun climbs higher and lights the cliff on the east of the beach.
Travel Information
There is a National Trust car park at the top of the valley. Approx 30 min walk time down to Heddon's Mouth but it's not too steep so it's an ok walk even if you aren't especially fit! Because of that it does tend to attract quite a lot of tourists so go early if you want the beach without people on it!
