United Kingdom Caerphilly Castle, Wales
Caerphilly's historic castle was recently voted Wales's top tourist sight. It is one of the best photography sites in south Wales. My photo shows the castle lit up red, but this only happens on special occasions such as St Davids Day (March 1) and to celebrate notable achievements (in this case, our national football team reaching the knockout stages of Euro 2016).
Photography Tips
There is a pathway surrounding the castle which is accessible 24/7. The inner castle itself requires paid admission - please check the open times on Cadw's website
Travel Information
The car park for the castle is well signposted. It is just off Crescent Road. Parking is free after 6pm so if you're doing night shots, you don't need to worry about carrying change!
