Eilean Donan Castle might be the most famous castle in Scotland and the most popular attraction in the Highlands. It is located where three lochs meet (Loch Duich, Loch Long and Loch Alsh) on a promontory which becomes a small island at high tide and is connected to the mainland with a nice bridge. The castle is dated back to 1220 and was rebuilt between 1919 and 1932.

Photography Tips
You should carry a tripod, ND filters and a polarizer to avoid reflections for stunning long exposures. Make sure that there is a high tide for nice effects with the water.
A wide-angle lens is also highly recommended.

Travel Information
Follow the A82 From Fort William to Glengarry, Turn left onto the A87, and follow this road for approximately 40 miles to the Eilean Donan Castle visitor center at the roadside. There is a free car park that is very busy during daytime hours. If you visit during a busy day, be prepared to either (1) have lots of people in your photos or (2) spend some time clearing them out in post-production.
There is plenty of parking, but it is a very busy location. The Centre has Shopping, Eating and Toilet facilities.
