United Kingdom Black Linn Waterfall

Black Linn Waterfall on the river Braan is part of "The Hermitage" (a National Trust for Scotland). Whether if you are travelling to the north or heading to the south of Scotland this spot is perfect for a break. Park your car and walk a little bit in this forest where the waterfall is located.

Photography Tips

You should carry a tripod, ND-filters and a polarizer to avoid reflexions for stunning long exposures.
A wide-angle lens like the 16-35mm is recommended as well.

Travel Information

The area has its own car park (2 pounds of charge) which is located directly at the A9 between Inverness and Perth. It takes about 15 minutes by foot to get to the actual spot. The shot was taken from Ossian’s Hall – a special viewpoint.
