United Kingdom Neist Point Lighthouse
A lonely lighthouse, a rocky coastline and just pure Scottish highland gold. You'll love it here!
Photography Tips
First things first: it was windy when I was there. A sturdy tripod is a must especially when using long focal lengths like in this image. Bring some time as there are so many great spots that are spread across the longest. The southern coastline offers a nice and different view of the lighthouse with really massive rocks. I will add another spot shortly for the exact location.
Travel Information
I marked the parking lot that is quite close to the area with all its lovely spots. Since this is a well-known area in Skye the parking line can become rather long. There's a bit of hiking involved to get to the best spots. From the parking lot down to the longuet you'll have to pass a long stairway. This can be exhausting when you're done and going back to your car. Tip: Plan some time for returning to the car and leave early. I had to rest 2 times for a minute to come to breathe again (it was windy and cold!).
