United Kingdom Plodda Falls
Plodda Falls might be one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Scotland. This spot is dedicated to the higher viewpoint: the viewing platform.
The old footbridge which was built across the top of the waterfall has been replaced by a wooden viewing platform in 2009. The special attraction of this platform is that you are now able to walk over the edge of the waterfall, so the water is flowing and falling down underneath you with a drop of 61 meters. This point of view is incredible.

Photography Tips
You should carry a tripod, ND-filters and a polarizer to avoid reflexions for stunning long exposures. But keep in mind that the platform is made out of wood so it is really wobbly and shaky. Long exposures do only work if nobody else is on the platform. You even have to hold your breath for the shot. A wide-angle lens like the 16-35mm is recommended as well.
Travel Information
The waterfall is located somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Trust me smartphones cannot find any networking signal there and that is even the case like 30 minutes before you arrive at the carpark. The nearest town to the waterfall is Tomich. Cross this town, keep going and look for the small signs from this point. The road seems to end when you leave Tomich, but do not be fooled the forest path is the actual way to follow.
Shift in the frist gear and keep your eyes on the road/path there are very deep and large potholes that can ruin your whole trip! After a felt eternity you end up on a small carpark to your right. Leave your car here and take the short walk directly to the falls. You can see the platform after 5-10 minutes of walking.
