United Kingdom The needles, Isle of Wight
interesting rock formation and a lighthouse with view of the La Manche channel
Photography Tips
decent amount of people around especially summer time. it's worth going there evening time, but please note, the main entrance to the Needles close early (around 5pm), after that it can be seen from a fair distance only!
Travel Information
the island itself can be approached by ferries departing from Yarmouth, Portsmouth and Southampton. there's an amusement park very close to the Needles with a huge car park. from the car park it takes about 15 mins to walk (mostly uphill) to the entrance of the Old Battery to see the lighthouse and the Needles. there's a bus from the car park taking people close to the main entrance.
