Edinburgh is a city that is a very photo rich environment. Fun city with a lot to do and see.

The best tip for shooting Edinburgh is to research the city and its history prior to getting there. There is so much to shoot, that choices will need to be made unless you have weeks to spend there. Best time of year is hard to call. Summer is packed with tourists. Off seasons can be less than good weather. Overall, with the right equipment, anytime of the off season year can work. Tourist season you must expect lots of people.

Easy access to the city.

Parking near this spot is a little pricey. If you don't mind using public transport, buses, trains or trams, then there are free alternatives within 30 minutes of the city centre. My favourite parking is in the Ocean Terminal shopping centre in Leith Docks (https://goo.gl/maps/n5AFQhEXJs1eF8Hy5), which is free to use and 30 minutes by bus to this location.
