Bring both a long lens and a wide angle lens. Make sure you are there at sunrise or sunset to see the birds when they take off in large numbers
Travel Information
The refuge is not far from the town of Merced California. They insist that visitors drive the viewing routes and only get out of the car at designated viewing platforms
