USA Panther Creek Falls
This spot is a hidden gem in the Gorge on the Washington side of the River Columbia. There are two falls right above each other (upper and lower falls). Bring good shoes - especially to the lower falls it’s a bit of a scramble.
Photography Tips
Bring a sturdy tripod, a polarizer, and lots of cloth to wipe your lens down. The humidity is quite high and you will have to fight water drops on your lens. Also, a colorful rainjacket makes for a nice contrast if you want to introduce the human element to your photo. Ideally, you come here on a cloudy day after a shower. This means no burned-out highlights and with a polarizer, the greens will naturally pop.
Travel Information
Take NF-65 until you find a large gravel pull-out on your right. Park here and cross the street and find a little path that takes you down to the falls.
