USA Bald Eagles at Bagnell Dam

From November through March, bald eagles come to Lake of the Ozarks and roost in a dead tree just north of Bagnell Dam.

You will need at least a 300mm lens and a 1/1000+ shutter speed to catch these beautiful birds in action.

The dead tree in which the eagles are roosting and from which they are flying in these photos is on a bluff that is just north of the north end of the dam. There is limited parking in a gravel pull-off just north of the dam. You will have to walk approximately 150 yards from your car to the point on the dam from which you can view the eagles.
