USA Ghost Town Rhyolite - Abandoned House
This is one of several ghost towns in death valley. There's plenty of other stuff to see here from old saloons to houses that burned out due to lightning strike. Apart from the great landscape in death valley ghost towns are the second best thing to see in the death valley.
Photography Tips
Don't be as picky with light as with other spots. This area looks amazing even in harsh high noon sun. If you have time try to get a good milky way shot out here. The nights in death valley are pitch black and awesome to see the milky way (even by eye!). Be warned though: this place is scary when there is no light and there might be animals that see better than you :)
Travel Information
It's a ghost town and there aren't many tourists around, so you can park wherever you want. When I was there end of august 2014 there was only another couple. You have to drive some miles to get there and the sun will burn you badly (bring plenty of water!). If you want to spend a night in death valley try the furnace creek ranch. It's a good stay, reasonably priced and everything is in reach.
