USA Mary Bartelme Park, Chicago
Mary Bartelme Park is a relatively small park in the West Loop of Chicago. Just south of the wonderful Fulton Market, which is a treasure trove for street photography, this park provides an excellent view of the cityscape from the West. In particular, the combination of the Willis/Sears Tower and the park's sculpture provides an interesting cityscape composition. There are some opportunities for fine art abstracts with sculpture as well.
Photography Tips
There's no shortage of cityscape shots of Chicago, but Mary Bartelme Park offers an opportunity for a more unique take on the beautiful skyline. The sculpture lights up at night, making it my favourite time to shoot.
Travel Information
There's plenty of paid parking on the streets nearby. It's also pretty close to a variety of El stops.
