Travel Information

Unfortunately people are not allowed to reach this place alone at night but only with a guided tour (actually not many are taking part to these tours, in our case it was only the 2 of us). The reason is that this part of the park is actually private property and after sunset people should leave the park anyway. At the time of writing only the Three Sister Navajo Tour were offering this "Star Gazing Tour".

Great details about this spot within the travel information. Looks like you still had a great time while getting this shot Luca. I guess in regions like this one you are able to see so many stars just with your eyes, aren't you? I drove down Route 1 in California once and even there it was so amazing to see such a clear sky with so many more stars that you normally see (like in Germany for example).

Absolutely! I have never seen so many stars in my life, such an overwhelming feeling that is difficult to reproduce with a picture. Definitely one of the highlights of our holidays to the US.
