USA Cincinnati Union Terminal
Cincinnati's Union Terminal is an Art Deco train station built in 1933. It is one of Cincinnati's depression era architectural treasures.
Photography Tips
To get this shot, I pulled into one of the turn lanes in the entry drive of the Terminal, and placed my tripod on top of our van. I actually used Olympus's 15mm body cap lens--mostly because it's the widest angle lens I have for my Lumix G5 at the moment--never let the lack of proper gear keep you from taking a shot you want to take.
If you want a shot like this, be set up by sunrise at this location with at least a 30mm full frame equivalent lens/sensor combination. If you want a hint of sunlight combined with the Terminal's lights, make sure you're set up well before 7:30, when they turn the lights on the building out (at least at this time of year.)
