USA Jens Jensen Winding Road, Door County, Wisconsin
Probably the most unique road in Wisconsin (a state known for some great curvy roads through forests), the Jens Jensen Winding Road at the tip of Door County is a blast to both drive and photograph.
Photography Tips
I visited in early Spring, but I've seen pictures of the area in the Fall and I'd definitely recommending visiting when the leaves are changing. I have no doubt it would be gorgeous. I didn't take a telephoto lens on this trip, but I wished I would have had one to compress the frame a bit. The beauty of this road is in its gentle curves, but I wasn't able to capture that very well with a medium length lens. Bring something with a reach of 100mm+ (full frame) to make the curves really pop. You shouldn't have any troubles incorporating some environmental elements, even while zoomed in, given that the trees are so close to the road.
Travel Information
Google driving directions to get there. There are a few places for pulling off to the side to park, but there's not a ton of shoulder space in most locations. It's not extremely crowded, but definitely keep your eye out for fellow drivers. For best results, bring a car with lots of horsepower...
