USA Steam escaping from Manhole covers in Manhattan New York
The steam rising from beneath the ground is seen all over Manhattan and is due to Con Edison’s Steam Operations, and other smaller steam systems that provide steam to Universities and buildings. A lot have ugly pipes extending out of the ground so it is good to see some still rising from the Manhole covers.
