USA Brooklyn Bridge, New York City
Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City.
Photography Tips
I used a 24-105mm zoom to get an interesting shot of this structure but the lens choices for this particular landmark are endless. Since you have to act fast I strongly recommend a high quality zoom. That way, you have lots of framing choices in a very short amount of time (see below).
Beware of cyclists! There are both pedestrians and people on bicycles traveling the bridge at all times and I had to wait a considerable amount of time to get this shot with almost nobody in it. Also, standing in the middle is the most dangerous place to be.
Plan ahead. Look at the scene and situation from the sidelines. experiment with lens, aperture and ISO. Once you've figured out your settings, framing and the spot you want to be in, wait for the right moment. Then jump in, get a couple of shots and get the hell out of there.
