USA Alaska Wildlife Bear watching
I´ve been to various locations for bear watching and this is one of the best I´ve seen. Other than the world famous Brooks Falls - which get really crowded and with no guarantee you´ll get that particular shot - at this location, you will spend the day on a boat and follow the bears along the shoreline. And you will for sure see more than just a few of them
Travel Information
The only way to get their is by seaplane, which takes about 79 min from Lake Hood in Anchorage.
Absolutely worth going for a day trip, but if you want to spend more time - and maybe even go for some salmon fishing too - you could stay at the Redoubt Lodge right on the lake. Though, they are always fully booked, you might need reservations up to a year ahead of your trip.
