World famous Brooks Falls - sure worth seeing, but if you want to get more adventurous, you might want to take a customized tour around Katmai National Park.
After your arrival, it takes about a 20 min walk to the first platform to take your pictures. But to get to the main viewing platform, you have to be really patience, as it could take up to more than an hour before they let you go on, because only a certain amount of people are allowed in that viewing spot. And this place gets really crowded during the main season

Travel Information

Only way to get there is about a 2 1/2 hour flight by float plane. You will find plenty of providers to get you there - all of them based at Lake Hood, Anchorage
