USA Morris Island Beach
This is a perfect secluded portion of Folly Beach in Charleston. It perfectly placed so that you can get amazing shots during sunrise. There are tons of petrified trees, plus the ocean that gives great foreground elements to an always amazing sunrise. There is also a nice lighthouse in view that is guaranteed some great shots.
Photography Tips
Make sure to watch out for the tide. This area is in a inlet so the tide will creep up on you if you are trying to capture star trails for example where you have to be there for a long time. (happened to me). This shot works extremely well at sunrise due to it's positioning.
Travel Information
The road will come to an end where there is plenty of spots for parking. This area may get busy at times during sunset but it is all yours during sunrise. If you are on the beach at night during the summer, make sure to wear bug spray as the sand fleas will eat you alive. Trust me!
