USA Hall of Mosses
An easy, short hike trail with breathtaking scenery. Feels like you are in Jurassic Park and a dinosaur is about to appear.
Photography Tips
The best time to visit is when it is damp and raining because that is when the moss is the most lush and green. Another reason to visit during the rainy season is that you are more likely to see an Ariolimax columbianus (a banana slug), which is the second largest species of land slug in the world.
Travel Information
From Port Angeles, head west on Highway 101. After about 68 miles, turn left on Upper Hoh Road, which turns into Hoh Valley Road. Proceed to the trailhead, near the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center at the end of this road.
