Easy 1 mile stroll from trailhead right off Hwy 89 for a great example of multi-colored hoodoos and tortured sandstone landscape.

Photography Tips

I used a 10 second shutter delay on a tripod for this “selfie”. I’m standing in the midst of a dozen or so white hoodoos with chocolate colored capstones. The hike from the parking area will eventually have you facing a white mudstone wall. From there, turn East (left) staying high on the shelf as you work your way up and over minor obstacles for about 150 yards, wrapping clockwise around the bend until the white hoodoos come into view.

Travel Information

Trailhead is on US 89 in Utah between mile markers 19 and 20 near Big Water, Utah. Large dirt parking area on the north side of the highway.
