USA Moon Falls

Moon Falls cascades veil-like 100 ft. down beautiful moss covered rocks. Just a few minutes from two other very nice forest waterfalls.

There can be a lot of spray that comes off the falls when the flow is heavy (not when I was there though) so be prepared to protect your equipment.

From I-5 in Cottage Grove take exit 174 and head east on Row River Road past milepost 4 and continue straight onto Shoreview Drive (Row River Rd splits off to the left – Shoreview Drive rejoins Row River Rd in 6 miles). Past milepost 19 Row River Road ends. Turn left onto Layng Creek Road (aka Forest Service Road #17). About 9 miles later look for Forest Service Road #1790 and turn right (signed for Spirit Falls, Moon Falls and Pinard Falls). Drive up the gravel road for about ¼ mile. Turn left on road 1702 and drive 2.7 miles. Follow the signs to Moon Falls. The trail starts as an old gravel road. Travel 0.5 miles to the base of the falls.
