USA Roaring Fork Falls
This is Roaring Fork Falls. It's not the biggest or most impressive waterfall you've ever seen, but it's my favorite. It's my go-to peaceful place. It's a relatively easy .5 mile hike in on an old fire road, then crossing a small wooden bridge for the last bit, being actual trail. Parking is limited, and sometimes people will bring their kids here to play in the water, so go early before they all show up.
Photography Tips
Bring water resistant/proof shoes/boots, a tripod, a circular polarizer filter, and a lunch/snack. There's a giant flat bolder in the middle of the stream that is perfect to setup on. Sit, shoot, relax.
Travel Information
Get here by car. Access by state road 80. There is an access point from the BRP, so if you're driving past and want the detour, take it. .5 mile easy hike in.
