Letchworth State Park is located in western New York. There are many hiking trails in the area and features 3 water falls - Upper, Middle, and Lower, in a deep gorge
The face formation in the middle of the falls is very rare and only happens a couple of times every few years when the water level is perfect to reveal the formation.

Photography Tips

Late afternoon is a good time for the middle falls as a rainbow is present at the base of the falls. ND filter and tripod are essential

Travel Information

Easy drive. The waterfalls are very accessible to the parking areas, or you can walk a trail that features all of them. Autumn is spectacular with the fall color.
