USA Buckhorn Trail

If you’re driving to Bryce Canyon from Highway 89 in Utah, you’ll drive through Red Canyon on Highway 12. The canyon is actually various shades of brilliant orange colors. There are pullouts all through the canyon that can be used for a quick stop and photos. There is also a large network of trails available for all ages and abilities. This photo was taken near the end of the Buckhorn Trail.

Travel Information

This 1.5 mile (2.4 km) trail begins at the Red Canyon Campground. Drive east approximately 4.5 miles from US 89 on SR12. The campground is located on the right hand side of the road. The trailhead is on the east end of the campground between site #24 and #26.
