USA Heartland of America Park, Omaha, Nebraska
The Heartland of America Park is a nice little city park near the Old Market area of Omaha. It's really a gem of a spot, and is great for street photography and cityscapes both. Omaha isn't necessarily a great city for skylines, but this park offers perhaps the best view, as there are lots of opportunities to frame the water in the foreground.
Photography Tips
Given that the park is in the middle of the city, there are likely to be a fair number of other people around. If you're shooting street photography, that's fine, but if you're looking for a more serene file I'd recommend going at off times and possibly doing some long exposures to make the people "disappear" in your frame. The river is extremely slow-moving, so there's no need to really extend the exposure time to get soft water. Consider shooting with a small aperture if shooting at night to get the starburst effect from the lights (you'll likely need a tripod for that).
Travel Information
Google will get you there, and there are lots of walkways around the park. There's generally plenty of parking available in the nearby area, although most of it is pay parking and you may need to resort to parking in a garage. The prices are pretty reasonable, though.
