USA Calabash Waterfront
Calabash is a working fishing village in North Carolina. The boats leave and return every day. The waterfront is lined with seafood restaurants.
Photography Tips
There is easy access to the docks. You can't get on the boats without permission but I've never been asked to leave the dock. You can do photos of the boats and close-ups of the gear on the boats. There are plenty of seagulls and pelicans perched on the pilings.
Travel Information
Take Hwy. 17 almost to the South Carolina border and look for the signs to Calabash. It's a very small town. There is one road that leads to the waterfront. Park in one of the restaurant parking lots. You'll see the docks and boats.
