USA Snake River Junction
Great location to capture sunrise. This location was made famous by a black and white photo taken by Ansel Adams in 1941. If you hope to replicate that image you’ll be disappointed. While the Snake River is still visible, most of it is now hidden by the trees which have grown much taller over the past 80 years (I’m not speaking from experience). Still, a nice view of the Tetons.
Photography Tips
To get a similar perspective from Ansel Adams’ photo, set up as close as possible to the display at the far right end of the parking lot.
Travel Information
There is a large paved parking lot just off of highway 89/191/26. The view is basically from the parking lot.
