USA Virgin River Gorge
The Virgin River winds through Zion National Park, through southern Utah and Arizona and eventually drains into Lake Mead and the Colorado River. This is one of countless views of the river and the gorge carved by it.
Photography Tips
In the Spring, there are spectacular cactus blooms along the rocky rim of the gorge. Watch for rattlesnakes during the warm Spring/Summer months.
Travel Information
There are numerous access roads to the gorge north of SR 9. This spot is most easily accessed via rough dirt roads between mile markers 15 and 17. No facilities.
