USA Second Beach Sea Stacks
The northwest coast of Washington state has multiple beaches to choose from which allow great compositions including foreground elements, the ocean with waves and movement and the sea stacks further out. Given a great sunset it could make for a great shot. It rains a lot on this coast and one takes a chance for the perfect sky but then that is photography.
Photography Tips
Arrive early enough to find the spot, know not only the position of the setting sun but also the tide tables and set up the tripod preferably with a neutral density filter.
Travel Information
The drive from Seattle is about four hours. Find the 110 road which is a junction off Highway 101 just north of Forks. Plenty of parking next to a well sign posted trailhead for a 0,7 mile (1km) hike to the beach.
