USA Sundial Peak view from Lake Blanche
Sundial Peak is visible at the end of a 6-7 mile hike on Lake Blanche trail. In the summer Lake Blanche is visible. In the winter, the lake is snow covered.
Photography Tips
The trail is very challenging with a high elevation gain. You don't need a telephoto lens to capture Sundial Peak. Carry a light backpack with a wide angle lens, filters and a tripod if you'd like. If you go in the winter, recommend spikes for your boots/shoes.
Travel Information
Park at Lake Blanche Trail head and hike approximately 3 miles for view. Lake Blanche and Sundial Peak are not visible from the trailhead.
