USA West Point Lighthouse, Seattle
The West Point Lighthouse is found in Puget Sound and at the tip of Discovery Park. It is in the largest park in Seattle, an old military base, Fort Lawton. It allows for multiple compositions at all times of day though perhaps best at sunset.
Photography Tips
Check the ephemeris to identify the position of the sunset for the time of year, usually any time of year from May to October. Check the times of the sunset, arrive early enough to park and choose the site for composition. Use the ND filter. if you want the waves smoothed, a tripod and a small aperture to keep all in focus.
Travel Information
Drive to Discovery Park at the end of the road and find good parking at the street's end.
