USA Lake Twenty Two
A beautiful alpine lake at the base of Mt. Pilchuck shows nicely in the spring when the snow is still present. This awesome spot is located a short drive from Seattle.
Photography Tips
Arrive early; this hike is popular. Bring a polarizer filter. There is also a nice waterfall under a bridge along the hike-in.
Travel Information
Drive from Seattle to the Mountain Loop Highway and after going through Verlot you will see the trailhead well sign-posted on the right-hand side. Good parking is available; it is a 2.7-mile hike straight up a mountain with many rocky, difficult-to-navigate areas. Please use appropriate footwear and bring fluids and food.
