USA Eagle Point - Olympic NP
During winter or spring Eagle Point and Obstruction Point make for an excellent day trip or backpacking destination which offers views of spectacular mountain ridges, great sunset, and amazing star gazing opportunities.
Permit is required for all overnight trips in Olympic National Park and it can be obtained at the ranger station in Port Angeles which lies directly en route to the trailhead.
The route is popular with both skiers and snowshoers.

Travel Information
When snow is still present overnight parking is not allowed at Hurricane Ridge. The park service has a spot reserved for this trip about 3 miles down the road and often offers free shuttle from the parking spot up the hill.
