This location is the perfect spot to enjoy a sunrise when visiting Manhattan. You just have to cross the Hudson River (ending up in Jersey City). Since sunrise is quite early and walking out on those boat landing docks you can enjoy the sunrise almost alone yourself.

Photography Tips

I used a 24-70mm lens and used the handrail to create this framing. Come here for sunrise to capture the rising sun behind the skyline and use a high aperture to create those sun stars which look cool!

I took the Path train from WTC to the Exchange place. The subway station is just 2 min by foot away from the photo location.

That's an awesome spot! I love places like this one where you can combine photography with a very relaxed atmosphere, a beautiful view and maybe even something like a picnic on those benches... ;-)
