USA The Enchantments/Mount Wedge

In Washington State there are not many areas more beautiful than the Enchantments. From this spot to the east one looks into the Snow Lakes region with the surrounding mountains and alpine forests. It is a little bit of heaven.

Photography Tips

It is a good hike in: pack light and carry a polarizing filter. Try to arrive early so the scene is front lit.

Travel Information

From Hiway 97 take the Mountain Home road 2.6 miles to the Mill Creek Rd., drive 3.5 miles to the ridge crest. Take the leftmost road and drive 1.2 miles to the trailhead. You will pass a turn to the right. Ignore it and keep straight on to the trailhead. It is a rough road; 4-wheel drive is advised.
