USA Abiqua Falls from above
This waterfall is a pretty remote one and kind of hard to find, which is the reason that you won't see many other people here at the same time. The river rushes down a high wall ending up in an impressive waterfall once standing in front of it. Especially the autumn colors are incredible down there! To get to this higher lookout, you have to climb up a smaller wall just before entering the larger area below the waterfall. It starts right at the part of the smaller climb next to the river to your left.
Photography Tips
Make sure to bring a wide-angle lens since it's pretty hard to capture the entire surroundings in one image since you can't walk backward too far (you will end up standing right at the wall). If you try to fly your drone here: No GPS. So it's all on you!
Travel Information
This waterfall is hard to reach since GPS is not working in this area, and there are barely any signs. Make sure to download Google Maps and follow the road toward the Trailhead marked on Google. Please make sure to continue with your car (4x4) is nice to have once it's rainy. Drive to the end of the road (there is a gate usually closed) Park along the road and make your way down to the river into the forest. You should be able to spot a trail. At some part, you´ll have to climb a bit, but ropes are there which will help you. Continue along the river upstream (you can hear the waterfall already). After a last little climb and turn, you will see the waterfall.
