USA Iron Spring Creek
Iron Spring Creek runs through the middle of Black Sand Basin where several brilliantly colored hot springs drain into it.
Photography Tips
Use a polarizing filter.
As is the case for most of the geysers and springs in Yellowstone, this was shot from the boardwalk. Though it might be tempting, resist the urge to veer off the boardwalks to take photographs. The earth crust is very thin and fragile near the springs and might give way. Many people have been badly burned or killed when they’ve come into contact with the scalding hot and/or acidic water.
