USA Jonathan Dickinson State Park River Campground
The original Pine forests of Florida are preserved here so you can see the landscape just as the earliest explorers found it
Photography Tips
I shot this sunset in late December to catch the sun at this angle. I underexposed by about 3 stops to make the sky colours most vibrant.
Travel Information
The park is south of Hobe Sound Florida in Highway 1. You must pay 6 dollars per carload for daily entrance. To camp there, book well, well in advance. I booked 11 months in advance to ensure a campsite for my RV. Once inside the park, leave your car at the canteen/ camp store parking lot near the Riverside Campground which is about a 4 mile drive from the park gate.
